Devandra (‘Dave’) Kumar – Partner
Mr. Kumar is a graduate cum laude of Harvard Law School where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology. Prior to law school, Mr. Kumar attended Duke University, where he received a B.S.E. cum laude in electrical engineering, and Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received an M.S. in electrical engineering.
Mr. Kumar also worked as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications in the field of telephone communications.
Most recently, Mr. Kumar was on the visiting faculty of the National Law School of India University in Bangalore, India, where he taught courses on telecommunications law and policy and competition law. Previously, he was an associate in the communications, information technology, and intellectual property practice groups at Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Kumar is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, D.C., and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
